Thrifted Finds of the Kitsch Kind

I know I already have one of these gold deer vase/thermometer thingos, but when I came across two more I just had to rescue them from the dusty op shop shelf. Tacky & touristy, there's just something about them I love. Everything below was $3, except for the tin which was $1.

Cats above & deers below

A sweet Japanese wall vase
Plus a flying duck cross stitch

 A sweet old rusty tin

  6. I don't know how I feel about those gold animals and that really, really worries me. At one time, I would haven't given them a second look and now...? Can we get a shot against kitsch because I don't know if I want/need or SHOULD go down that road. Isn't it funny how our tastes change? I know sometimes if something makes me smile, I will get it and my grown children just shake their heads in wonder and alarm. :-)
